This is an excellent place to learn! Carver PreK-5(Kindergarten Through 5th Grade) is a small School nestled on a scenic hillside in the heart of The Oak Park Community. We educate students from Infants and Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade, so they truly feel at home here. The school is beautiful, well maintained, and borders lovely Chollas Lake Park. There is a sense of order and safety in a friendly environment conducive to teaching and learning. We’re truly a Neighborhood school. Because Carver is special many of our 250 students chose to come here from all over the District as well as those who live in the neighborhood. Students come through enrollment options as well through special education services.
Our student population is diverse culturally and linguistically. Family backgrounds include diverse Hispanic, Asian, and African Cultures as well as Caucasian and African-American. More than 50% speak a language other than English. Students engage in a variety of programs to help them become fluent and meet English language standards. Carver prepares students for a successful transition to Middle School. Our goal is to help each student build a solid foundation for quality of life after completing school. We believe that how we teach influences how students learn and behave. We teach so students achieve academically and build self-confidence and self-reliance. Come see Carver in action!
