The vision of Innovation Middle School is to inspire students to be intellectually prepared and engaged in curricula focused on the integration of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics with a deliberate worldview and commitment to creativity, innovation and character. It is our pleasure to welcome you to our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) school where students are empowered to be civically and digitally literate.
We are a one-to-one technology school where students are provided the tools and the ambition they need to become digitally literate citizens!

Aligning with SDUSD’s Mission, Innovation Middle School is committed to the following: · Restorative Justice Practices cultivate community on campus with a focus on building strong relationships between students and staff. They hold students accountable for their actions while giving them a high level of support to create a campus culture of learning and safety for all school community members. · Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is the emphasis on school-wide systems of support that include proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create positive school environments, both in the classroom and outside, but within the school setting (e.g., hallways, restrooms, etc.).
We believe that preparing students for the 21st century learning and citizenship is a team effort – at home, at school, within the community, and throughout the day. The staff at iMiddle takes a student-centered approach to learning so that students are at the center of creating, doing and making. We encourage students to adopt a growth mindset, to be open to being challenged and to recognize failures as first attempts in learning. Our classes have intellectual depth and rigor so that each student can grow to their fullest potential. We look forward to growing future-ready students who will make a positive impact in the world.
