Students come into an elementary school at an age when they are curious, inquisitive, and have a natural ability to learn. Our role as educators is to nurture those traits, facilitate the development of critical thinking skills, foster creativity and embrace resiliency. The use of technology will play a vital role in developing these skills in our students. It is an instrument they will use to make meaning, develop their critical thinking and express their creativity that will continue throughout their lives.
Cesar Chavez Elementary is a uniform school, which supports safety and creates a positive community learning environment. Our school uniform consists of a RED shirt/blouse and NAVY BLUE or KHAKI pants, skirts, or shorts.

Opened in 1997, César Chávez Elementary School is named after farm worker labor leader César Chávez who organized the United Farm Workers (UFW) in 1965. César Chávez said, 'Once social change begins, it cannot be reversed. You cannot uneducate the person who has learned to read. You cannot humiliate the person who feels pride. You cannot oppress the people who are not afraid anymore. We have seen the future, and the future is ours.'
