San Diego Unified School District provides a foundation for learning, both academically and socially through Early Learning programs. Early Learning provides children ages 3 and up with age-appropriate learning opportunities in language and literacy development, interactive writing, mathematics, science, physical movement, and visual and performing arts.

San Diego Unified School District also offers a State-subsidized Pre-K program (Part-Day and Extended-Day) for 3 and 4-year old children who qualify. Family income must fall within the State income ceiling guidelines according to family size in order to qualify. Please read other eligibility requirements below. Options include full-day through TK/4, 3-hours within part-day blended preschool, and a 6-hour program at Central Elementary.
